Love Being a Therapist. Leave the Business of Therapy to Us.

You've worked hard to become the clinician you are today. You've developed your clinical skills, built meaningful relationships with clients, and discovered the kind of work that makes being a therapist rewarding. But building a fulfilling, long-term career shouldn't mean having to manage every aspect of a business or navigate the demands of clinical practice on your own.

Maybe you're ready to leave the demands of a large agency behind. Maybe you've considered private practice but aren't interested in running a business. Or perhaps you're already in private practice and miss the professional connection, collaboration, and stability of being part of a team.

At The Artful Life Counseling Center & Studio, we offer another path.

Celebrating 10 years of serving the North Shore, The Artful Life is an award-winning, locally owned, women-led mental health practice providing accessible, relationship-centered care to children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Our work has earned recognition from the U.S. Small Business Administration, local Chambers of Commerce, and the Massachusetts State Legislature for our contributions to community wellness and entrepreneurship.

With more than 40 clinicians and offices in Salem and Beverly, we offer the resources and stability of an established group practice with the creativity, connection, and collaborative culture of a community-based organization.

We're seeking experienced, independently licensed clinicians who want to focus on providing excellent care while continuing to grow professionally.

We believe that professional growth doesn't end with independent licensure. Whether you're interested in deepening your clinical expertise, developing a specialty, mentoring emerging clinicians, or pursuing leadership opportunities, The Artful Life offers a professional community that supports your evolving career.

You bring your clinical experience and commitment to your clients. We provide the infrastructure, administrative support, and professional community to help you thrive.

Why Join The Artful Life?

Focus on Therapy, Not Running a Business

Our dedicated administrative team supports the operational side of clinical practice, including:

  • Client referrals and intake coordination.
  • Insurance credentialing and billing.
  • Scheduling support and client communication.
  • Practice management systems and operational support.
  • Fully furnished clinical offices and therapeutic resources.

Spend less time managing the business of therapy and more time doing the clinical work you enjoy.

Leadership That Understands Clinical Work

The Artful Life is owned and led by two experienced women therapists, not corporate executives. Our leadership understands the realities of providing mental health care because we've done the work ourselves.

We're committed to building a practice where clinical excellence, professional accountability, and the well-being of both clients and clinicians are central to how we operate.

Be Part of a Clinical Community

Private practice can offer independence, but it can also be isolating. At The Artful Life, you'll work alongside clinicians with diverse specialties, perspectives, and experiences.

We offer regular clinical consultation, opportunities for collaboration, and a professional environment where therapists can learn from one another and continue developing their skills.

A Practice That Values Creativity and Connection

Our welcoming clinical spaces, dedicated studios, and expressive arts resources create opportunities to approach therapy in ways that reflect your training and clinical interests.

You don't need to be an art therapist to work at The Artful Life. We welcome clinicians with a wide range of therapeutic approaches who appreciate the value of creativity, connection, and thoughtful clinical care.

We'd love to hear from you.
